Thursday August 8: 
    6-8 pm: Ice Cream Social @ Congregational Church basement, Main Street
      6-8 pm: Community Kickball Game @ Municipal softball field behind the town hall @ 20 School St. Free event for all ages! Spectators, bring your own chairs. 

Friday August 9: 
     1-4 pm: Cornhole Tournament @ Municipal ballfield. If raining, will be inside the Town Hall @ 20 School St. Registration is required, $20 per team. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place teams. This is a fund raiser for Summer Round Up activities. Contact Frank Hallett FMI. 
     6-8 pm: August Halloween!! Kids/families dress up and Trick or Treat around town!  For those handing out goodies, call the Town Office @ 207-435-4361 to get onto the list of "safe houses" that will be provided to trick-or-treaters. 

Saturday August 10: 
     7-9 am: Pancake & Sausage Breakfast @ Town Hall, 20 School St.  $12 per person, benefitting Portage Lakers ATV Club. Serving pancakes, sausage, watermelon, coffee/juice. 
     10 am -12 pm: Cardboard Boat Race @ public beach on West Rd. Registration required & participants must follow race rules. Cah prices awarded for different categories. 
     10 am - 3 pm: Portage Lake Historical Museum open, 9 Cottage Rd. Donations accepted. Check out local artifacts and learn about the history of Portage Lake! 
     10 am - 3 pm: Quilt Show @ Catholic Church basement, 2111 Portage Rd.  Tickets will be sold for a quilt raffle benefiting Our Lady of the Lake Catholic church functions. 
      12 - 3 pm: Whoopie Pie Festival @ municipal tennis courts, 20 School St.  Vendors pay $15 for a 12X12 space, MUST sell Whoopie Pies but can sell anything else of your choosing. Contact the Town Office FMI 207-435-4361. 
      4 pm: Community Pulled Pork Dinner @ Town Hall, 20 School St.  $20 for adults/ $10 for kids under 12. Benefitting Portage Lakers Snowmobile Club.  
     7 pm: Annual Canoe Carry @ Seaplane Base. Contact Jim Dumond to be a part of the fun! 207-227-1864. Carriers meet @ Pavilion by 6 pm, paddlers meet @ mouth of Fish Lake Rd. by 6:45 pm. Spectators--be mindful of private property boundary markers. This event is sponsred by the Portage Lake Historical Society. 
     8:45/Dusk: Professional Fireworks Show off of the Forestry Dock, Hayward St. 
     9 pm: Dance to "Guilty Pleasure" @ Portage Hills Country Club. Must be 21 or older, $5 cover. 

Sunday August 11: 
     11 am to 3 pm: Portage Lake Historical Museum open, 9 Cottage Rd. Donations accepted. 
     11 am to 2 pm: Quilt Show @ Catholic Church basement, 2111 Portage Rd. Tickets will be sold for a quilt raffle benefitting Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church functions.
     Noon: Town Parade, rain or shine!  Participants should line up at Park Ave & Ledge Ave by 11:45 am. Contact Nicole Poulin @ 207-551-7920 if interested in being a part of the parade line-up; contact Corrine Routhier 207-227-0819 on parade day for last minute additions!
